Portrait Series...

Moving forward with the portraits. I've started incorporating pieces of cut art paper. The faces are also becoming more "cartoony." I'm very excited about how they are developing!

Mixed Media Portraits

Here are the first four portraits of a series I am working on. I'm producing these images from imagination. I do have specific characteristics of friends in mind, though, which inform the paintings. They were made with acrylics painted over markers or colored pencils. I also incorporate Wite-Out from time to time.

Most of these pieces were produced over the past several months. Just having fun with the pastels!

Spanish Civil War prisoner series continued...

The above pieces are more work from my Spanish Civil War book project. I'm nearing the end of the image making part of the process. Next, I'll be putting a book together for a show in September.
